Death to Spies
A downloadable game
Hiya ! This is my first ( kind of ) proper project made for my final year of university. It's a classic Resident Evil style third-person, fixed-camera angle, PSX / retro style video game. A short level based inside of a school ( or is it? ) you take control of Sebastian and must escape.
The assets used were a mixture of packs on Unreal and my own - the model is a re-skinned model based off of the original Chris Redfield model. The blueprints were a mixture of my own and the Classic Horror Game pack found on Unreal.
This is my first proper attempt at something coherent and there is some jank - the animations in the cutscenes aren't properly configured due to time constraints & there may be the odd glitch here and there. The documents part of the menu is not in use & if you die, you'll have to reload the game ( no idea why I missed coding a restart but there you go c.c ).
Ultimately, I had a lot of fun playing with this and hope you enjoy it ! :)
Voice acting was by myself and my hubby.
All controls can be found in the Guidebooklet PDF included in the downloads. :)

I'm surprised no one has commented yet on this game. Tbh as of writing this, I'm in the process of downloading it now. By the looks of it, it seems promising enough if you're into old-school survival horror (which I definitely am!) so I'm really curious to see how this game plays.
On another note, it is a big game file with over 4 gigabytes to download! So, I hope this game turns out good. There are no pictures or videos on the page (other than the few still shots in the Guidebook) showcasing this game a little. Other than that, this title is definitely a mystery. The creator of the game should really upload some still shots onto his Itch page and some gameplay footage as well.
Will come back to comment if I get around to playing this.
Hiya! So, I actually had comments turned off for a while - this was a uni project made in three months and it isn't really something I had my heart in. It was more just to experiment, test and make something for one of my modules.
It's just more like a demo piece than a thing I'd look at again, I'm grateful to anybody who plays but please don't expect anything good haha 😅
Ah, fair enough. Thanks for letting me know. In any case I can't wait to play it but I won't go into it with a critical eye now that you mentioned it.
Though I must say the screenshots from the guidebook looked really good so I wouldn't be surprised if it actually turned out better than I thought. Plus, the lack of previews on your page got me curious to play it, like, "What the heck is this game!? I wanna know!" Lol.
But anyway, thanks again for the disclaimer as it's good to know 🙂
